⁶And this is what demonstrates^[a] love: that we live according to God’s^[b] commandments. Just as you^[c] have heard from the beginning what he commanded, you^[d] must live by it.

⁷For many deceivers have gone out into the world. They refuse to acknowledge Jesus the Messiah^[e] as having become human. Any such person is a deceiver and an antichrist. ⁸See^[f] to it that you^[g] don’t destroy what we have^[h] worked for, but that you^[i] receive your^[j] full reward.
